We meet at Christ Church Hall, Old Road East, Gravesend, Kent DA12 1NR on 3rd Monday of each month (except August) at 2:15pm. You would be very welcome to join us at one of our meetings or social events and we look forward to hearing from you.

Our Club Meeting included our AGM & Handover. Our most senior Member Valerie Martin cut our special cake that is a tradition at Handover and the joint Presidents Lynfred, Audrey and Glenys presented outgoing Club Secretary Ruth and Club Treasurer Joan (who staying in post) with plants to thank them for their support during their year. New President Ruth has 'the dignity of women ' for her theme year and will be supporting Smalls For all a Scottish charity that sends new panties, pre-loved bras and knickers for younger children to communities in Africa |

We were well represented at the Summer District Meeting/AGM/Handover, at Ditton where our new Club President Ruth became the District 1st Vice Chairman |
4th July |
We were pleased with warm weather for our Outgoing President’s Tea Party at Lynfred’s. Good food and good company added to a lovely afternoon |
14th July |
President Ruth gave a lift to the IW Rochester and IW Gillingham Club Presidents to the District New Presidents Lunch at District Chairman Dotty Boardman's home at The Glen, Deal. a very pleasant lunch and afternoon |

The main bias of our Club Meeting was to plan and discuss the year ahead |

Unfortunately the Club Officers meeting due to be held at Dover Grammar School had to be cancelled because the lorry traffic jams in the Dover area caused by ferry strikes. The District Officers reports were sent out by email but it is a shame that, particularly for our newer Club officers, that there was not the opportunity to meet and interact with other Club Officers in their cohorts |
15th August |
We enjoyed our Summer Outing with a superb lunch at the Zetland Arms, Deal. Some Members then visited Walmer Castle although as many had visited the castle before lunch. All in all a very nice day |

Club Meeting - our Speaker John Portman spoke enthusiastically about the Silver Song Boxes which are used to entertain and prompt memories of people with dementia. He demonstrated the box and we had a sing-a-long |

Two of our Members joined the District Team and Members from across the District at the Cameo Lunch, Pilgrims Hall Restaurant, The Friars, Aylesford ME20 7BX. A nice lunch in pleasant surroundings |

Club Meeting – Our Speaker, Brian Portway, who is our President's husband talked to us about Gravesham Town Twinning |

Several of our members attended the Rotary District Conference, Eastbourne and supported our Inner Wheel stand in the House of Friendship |

As usual we ran our 'basket stall' at the District International Service Rally, Ditton and raised a good proportion of the total monies raised. The stall always looks beautiful and is well supported. Our members have carte blanche on how they fill their baskets and over 60 were donated for this event |

We had a very enjoyable Christmas Lunch at Brasserie 32, Gravesend with a good raffle and everyone exchanging Christmas cards and greetings |
16th January |
Club meeting - IW Day Lunch, we donated items for the Smalls For All charity & the local Food Bank. Club, District Officer Nominations were sought and we discussed the Supper Party of March 15th to which we invite the Rotary Club of Gravesend. We also talked about the District 10 Pin Bowling Competition and decided to how our match on 30th February when 10 members will be playing and another observing |

Club Meeting – Sue Muckley Speaker, one of our Members spoke on International Schools. We finalized arrangements for our Supper Party to which we invite the Rotary Club of Gravesend. |

Our Club had good turn out at the Spring District Meeting, at Ditton followed by lunch at Papa's the nearby 1st class fish and chip restaurant |

Club meeting - we will have a visitor Hella Iblhe from IW Neumunster, Germany, who also came to our Supper Party. We will be holding our Club Election, have a Quiz, plan our InterClub Tea Party and BHF Leaflets will be distributed |
3 - 5th April |
IW Association Conference GB&I at Nottingham. 7 of our members will be attending this year and we look forward to meeting other members from all over the country |
9th April |
Gravesend Rotary On Your Bike ride. Each year we help sign riders in, man the checkpoints and hand out certificates at the final. Our special contribution to the event is the delicious bread pudding we provide at the Cobham Hall checkpoint which riders eagerly anticipate |

EASTER. As the 3rd Monday in April is Easter Monday we have deferred until 24th |

Club Meeting at Joan’s house with District Chairman Dotty Boardman’s visit preceded by lunch at The Woodlands, Gravesend. We will be putting the finishing touches to our plans for our Interclub next month |

Inter-Club International Tea Party where we invite members from all Clubs in our Inner Wheel District. We will be having Wendy Ray speaking to us about 'Hands of Compassion' and it's work in Afrca |
